Falconry is a life style choice, and one that is ultimately rewarding. It is based on a mutual relationship of commitment, respect and trust. We recognise the importance of creating a positive learning environment, helping you get the best from your future partnership.
Predator Experience adopts a holistic approach to learning development, we believe in knowledge, understanding, reflection and review. Therefore we offer a range of courses to suit the up and coming falconer. Single day tuition experiences are a good way to decide whether falconry is for you. More in-depth learning courses cover all aspects of bird of prey husbandry and management. All our falconry courses are provided on our grounds in the Lake District in Cumbria. Full mentoring programs are also available. Places are restricted to a small number per year to guarantee quality of service. Residential courses are available to suit all budgets.
The Lantra Beginning Falconry Award is optional with the 5 Day Course and included in the Mentor Program. Predator Experience's falconers are proud to have been co-opted to the Hawk Board to work with them, and on their behalf with Lantra to produce the Lantra 'Beginning Falconry Award'. This is the first nationally recognised falconry award. Daniel Ashman and Dee Mitchell are both Lantra registered assessors. Stand alone assessments are available for practicing falconers who wish to achieve the award. Lantra Beginning Falconry Award Candidate Workbook.
