Are you searching for activities in Cumbria? Our experience day will take you on an amazing journey with many different raptors and owls. You will venture out with some precision predators and some real characters! With the emphasis on interaction, you will be flying the birds yourself where possible. You will experience one of the most breathtaking activities in Cumbria.
The Lake District has a diverse terrain, which is perfect for birds of prey. They are specialists, and to perform at their best they need their natural environment. This is not an arena flying demonstration, but rather an adventure through the countryside, appreciating life through the eyes of a bird of prey. Sometimes we even travel a very short distance to another environment entirely, to match the bird’s natural flying style.
Journeying with the bird in this way enables you to observe natural wild behaviour in the stunning South Cumbria setting. You will begin to understand the adaptations required for different types of flight, how this relates to its environment, and the conservation issues facing each species. As well as being one of the most exhilarating activities in Cumbria, our experience provides a fascinating insight into the life and evolutionary adaptations of birds of prey.
